Marlborough Fumé Blanc 2018 5 ANNO VERY LIMITED RELEASE Newly released Christmas 2023, this Sauvignon Blanc was oak-aged for five years, hence the name FUME BLANC - 5 ANNO. Aging this Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in French oak has imparted a beautiful golden colour. With an initial bouquet of gentle floral notes it opens up to feature herbal characters reminiscent of summer meadows. The palate features Sauvignon Blanc's classical lemon aromas intertwined with herbal notes, which we love about this variety, but in a more integrated and much softer tone. Silky with a mellow acidity it is slightly zingy with a hint of goose-berry and subtle oak notes it leads to a refreshingly mineral finish. This expressive wine is easily matched with seafood, smoked fish and chicken and salads. It will keep for a good number of years, so there is no rush. At its best : now to 2030

Pinot Noir Rosé NV Maybern Single Vineyard Newly released September 2024, the Johanneshof Pinot Noir Rosé NV displays a very light rose colour. Heavenly scented aromas of violets, red melon, rhubarb and a touch of almond. Although dry in style, its luscious palate makes it an instantly appealing wine with a very soft acidity. Flavours reminiscent of summer carry the theme of a berry compote - raspberries, strawberries and cherries all intermingle. A core of nutty and earthy tones shows the terroir of the Maybern vineyard with its clay and sandstone subsoils. The Johanneshof Rosé is an elegant, yet gutsy wine finishing long and incredibly smooth. Enjoy with your favourite fish dish, fresh salmon or on its own in the sun with good company. This single vineyard Pinot Noir Rosé is made from our steep home block 'Maybern" Vineyard behind our winery. Dry-farmed and narrow planted, growing here is a labour of love, with most work carried out by hand. The notably soft acidity is achieved by carefully monitoring the ripening in the vineyard and choosing the picking time when all components are in balance. Hand harvested like all Johanneshof wines, its a non vintage wine made as an assemblage of our limited 2023 and 2024 vintages. "Light peach. Sweet apricot, raspberry and creamy peach flavours coat the palate on this richly textured but soft, off-dry rosé. The plush palate is neither weighty nor powerful but has plenty of ripe fruit flavour which finishes with sweet honeydew flavours. Johanneshof Noble Late Harvest Riesling 2018 seduces with its naturally highly concentrated bouquet packed with honey and sundried apricot flavours. This is reflected on the palate with decadent flavours of ripe citrus fruit, honeycomb and apricot, entwined with subtle botrytis which gently unfolds with layers of aromatics.

Marlborough Pinot Gris 2024 Single Vineyard VERY LIMITED RELEASE This newly released Johanneshof Pinot Gris has a lovely opulent pearl appearance. Newly released October 2024 it is a delicate wine with a bouquet of pear, peach and honeysuckle. Dry in style, this beautifully balanced Pinot Gris displays stone fruit, melon and pear characters with a soft acidity. An enticing tone of white fleshed nectarines on the palate, it is a stunning wine with a luscious, silky smooth finish. Marlborough Gewürztraminer 2024 Single Vineyard NEW RELEASE October 2024 “... a benchmark for the variety. This must surely be one of the country's most decorated gewürztraminers” Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review Released in October 2024 the Johanneshof Gewürztraminer 2024 shines in the glass with its pale straw colour. The floral bouquet of honeysuckle, rose petals and violets is underpinned with aromas of white stone fruit and pears. Extremely powerful on the nose and palate, it features a weighty mouth feel and stunning tropical fruit characters. Nuances of peaches and mangos grace the palate with gorgeously floral tones of roses and Turkish delight. Beautifully textured and well balanced with some natural sweetness. This unctuous wine seduces with its elegance and power. It’s well deserving of its name – this German variety ‘Gewürztraminer’ translates to ‘Spicey Traminer” - its spiciness most notable in its smooth, lingering finish. Pinot Noir Maybern Single Vineyard Reserve Sorry Sold Out New Vintage soon to be released Our Maybern Vineyard is a tribute Warwick's parents May and Bernard who allowed Warwick to establish a vineyard on their land when if was just a teenager. Located behind our cellar door in Koromiko, our home block vineyard became Marlborough's first steep hillside vineyard when planted in 1977. On this north west facing steep slope mechanical intervention is impossible, so all work is done by hand, except for the mowing which is usually done by our sheep! Made from hand harvested grapes, our Pinot Noir Maybern is a partial wild ferment where the wine is allowed to ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, unique to our Koromiko vineyard and winery. Nurtured with minimal intervention it is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and bottled either with a light filtration or none.
