Johanneshof Cellars Ltd – Order Form March 2010
Johanneshof Cellars was established in 1991 as a boutique winery. Owners Warwick Foley and Edel Everling have combined their skill and training in both German and New Zealand wine institutions to produce small vintages of fine quality hand-made and consistently superb wines.
Their flagship wine is the EMMI Methode Traditionnelle, matured on its lees for several years. The Grape Brandy Edelbrand has been aged in oak barrels since 1991, and a Grappa is the newest addition to our spirit range.on the Koromiko hillside, 9km south of Picton on the Main South Road, Johanneshof Cellars is the first stop on the trail through Marlborough’s renowned landscape of vineyards and wineries. Below our steep vine-covered slopes NZ’s first underground rock cellar burrows 50 metres into the sandstone and there our wines are fermented, matured and stored at a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees Celsius. (Conducted tours are available by arrangement)
TWICE VOTED BEST WINE AND BEVERAGE ATTRACTION at the Air New Zealand Marlborough Tourism Awards, our cellar is open Tuesday to Sunday for summer sales, tastings and tours. You’ll find Johanneshof wines on the menu at some of New Zealand’s finest restaurants. Mail orders and telephone enquiries are welcome.
